I attended with two Belleville, Kansas businesses, The Feathered Nest and Food Mart Thriftway. There will be four more businesses from Belleville attending in October.
The Bootcamp was an awesome experience. We came away with a wealth of information and practical tools to apply; some right away and some are goals for changes down the road.
The really great thing about the Community Intervention program is that it doesn't stop when you leave the Bootcamp in Colorado, the attending businesses will have 4 months of follow-up of group consulting assistance with Jon; PLUS, Jon will come to Belleville, Kansas to present a 90-minute Destination workshop for anyone who wants to attend. During his visit to Belleville, he will also conduct a 45-minute consultation with each of the business owners who attended the BootCamp in their place of business.
The Schallert family treated us like royalty while we were in Longmont. Their newly renovated historic building in Downtown Longmont was the perfect setting for learning and absorbing all of the concepts that Jon has developed by visiting with savvy businesses. Below is a link if you would like to learn more about Destination Bootcamp.
Of course we cannot forget the grant that made it possible for us to go the Bootcamp.
A BIG THANK YOU to the North Central Regional Planning Commission for the $10,000 grant funded through the Rural Business Development Tax Credit Initiative. I am just so excited to see the potential growth in our businesses and our community because of this fantastic opportunity.
